Welcome to Ruha Rising. By accessing this website, scheduling services, or participating in sessions, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully.

Scope of Services

​

Ruha Rising provides trauma-conscious somatic services, including movement-based sessions, embodied practices, consulting, workshops, and education.

​

These services are:

​

  • Educational, experiential, and supportive in nature

  • Focused on nervous system regulation, embodiment, and resilience

  • Not psychotherapy, mental health treatment, medical care, or crisis services

  • Participation is voluntary and client-directed at all times.

​

Not Therapy / Not Medical Care

​

Ruha Rising services:

​

  • Do not diagnose, treat, or cure mental health or medical conditions

  • Do not replace psychotherapy, psychiatric care, or medical treatment

  • Do not establish a therapist-client or doctor-patient relationship

 

While Tracy Anderson holds a background as a Licensed Social Worker (LSW), services offered through Ruha Rising are provided outside of clinical therapy practice and are not billed as therapy.

If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, please contact local emergency services or a crisis hotline immediately.

Client Responsibility & Consent

​

By participating in Ruha Rising services, you acknowledge that:

​

  • You are responsible for your own physical, emotional, and mental well-being

  • You may stop or modify participation at any time

  • You are encouraged to work within your own limits and boundaries

  • You understand this work may involve body awareness, movement, and emotional sensations

 

You agree to communicate any relevant health concerns or limitations before participation.

​

Services for Minors

​

Services for children or teens require:

​

  • Informed consent from a parent or legal guardian

  • Guardian understanding that services are non-clinical and non-therapeutic​

 

Scheduling, Payments & Cancellations

​

Scheduling

Sessions are scheduled in advance through approved scheduling platforms.

​

Payments

​

  • Payment is required as outlined prior to or at the time of service

  • Packages and payment plans must be completed according to agreed terms​

 

Cancellations

​

  • 24-hour notice is required for cancellations or rescheduling

  • Late cancellations or no-shows may be charged the full session fee unless otherwise agreed

 

No Guarantees

​

Ruha Rising does not guarantee specific outcomes or results. Each person’s experience with somatic work is unique, and results depend on many individual factors.

 

Confidentiality

​

Personal information shared during sessions is treated with care and respect.

​

However:

​

  • This work is not governed by HIPAA

  • Confidentiality may be limited if required by law (e.g., risk of harm to self or others)

Intellectual Property

All content on this website and within Ruha Rising services — including written materials, exercises, and session structures — is the intellectual property of Ruha Rising.

International Clients

Ruha Rising welcomes international and expatriate clients. By participating, you acknowledge that:

  • Services are governed by the laws of the United States, specifically the State of Ohio

  • You are responsible for understanding local laws and regulations applicable to you

 

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

​

  • Ruha Rising and its representatives are not liable for injuries, losses, or damages arising from participation

  • You agree to release and hold harmless Ruha Rising from claims related to voluntary participation

 

Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, United States.

 

Changes to These Terms

Ruha Rising may update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
